After his government was toppled by a military coup 1965, Ben Bella was imprisoned in his house until 1980. Ahmed Ben Bella passed away in April of 2014, and was rehabilitated before his death.

Located in Agra India, the Taj Mahal is one of the most famous buildings in the world. Finished in 1653, it was commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Juhan as a monument to his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

The building has many different sections and contains a market, mosque and gardens. It took over 20 years, and required thousands of craftsmen to complete.

Eastern State Penitentiary, United States

This prison in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was closed in 1971 and is now a museum and a famous haunted house. The prison became known for the Pennsylvania system, a system of solitary confinement that was discontinued in 1913. The solitary confinement was so harsh that many prisoners were driven insane.

The prison was originally inspired by religion and the architecture reflects this. It’s most famous former inmate is Al Capone, whose cell was surprisingly nice, considering the gloomy prison. There have been many supposed sightings of ghostly faces and figures.
